This is all about my take on food, eating, and books about food. Food is a big part of all our lives, and what we eat, how it's prepared (or not), and where it comes form is a major concern. Having switched from an all meat diet to a vegetarian or whole plant diet has been a big step, though I remain a card carrying omnivore to the bitter end. I've also sworn off processed food and anything else large corporations have gotten their filthy hands on, with the exception of corporate farms that have turned live vegetables into “units” and a product rather than the blessing it is – I truly believe if they could genetically engineer a bar-coded bell pepper they'd be in heaven.

No worries, there will be posts concerning my first love, barbecue, as well as other meat laden dishes. I am not sure where my love of cooking came from, but after returning from Korea I started cooking for my family and never looked back.
